LEARN ABOUT CHARLES' PROJECTS
Charles' podcast, Backstage Babble, has presented over 200 in-depth interviews with theater legends such as Carol Burnett, Kelli O'Hara, Harvey Fierstein, Joel Grey, and Chita Rivera. It aims to document the history of Broadway by interviewing some of its most important figures about themselves, their careers, and the people they've worked with along the way.
Charles has produced and hosted five shows at 54 Below, which have featured Tony and Emmy winners in the cast and played to sold-out crowds. BroadwayWorld called his first concert "one of the starriest, most entertaining, and most important nights of the cabaret season this year."
Charles has produced events at BroadwayCon, The Drama Book Shop, The Museum of Broadway, and The J2 Spotlight Musical Theater Company, where he produced and directed the "In the Spotlight" cabaret series. Kirsch is also the youngest voting member of the Drama Desk.
Charles is a regular contributor to Cast Album Reviews, and has also written articles for Encore Magazine and a chapter on the musical Annie for the book 50 Key Stage Musicals (Routledge Press, 2022). He is also a contributor to BroadwayWorld's Teen Critics series.
Charles has produced a series of virtual game night benefits for the non-profit organization Dancers Over 40, and his Zoom reunions of Follies, Applause, On the Twentieth Century, and Titanic have gained thousands of viewers.
